When Code.org launched in 2013, computer science barely existed in schools. Over the decade since, its curriculum has grown to encompass computational thinking, data science, responsible computing, and human-centered design.
Now, as AI reshapes the world, and education along with it, Code.org has evolved to prepare the next generation. That evolution called for an identity to match: CodeAI.

As an evolution of the existing identity, the AI forms are designed to match the aesthetics of the original CODE.org logo. Their simple geometry open up the potential to communicate the creative possibilities of this new era.
In modifying the AI forms, a range of approaches were used. Made from handmade illustrations to photography and generative tools, reinforcing the idea that AI isn't a replacement or abdication of craft – just another tool.

The system was built to stretch across teachers, students, policymakers, and donors without fraying. Much of that range is carried by the layout system, designed to move between serious and playful expressions without losing coherence. The result is a system that can flex across different audiences and contexts while still feeling optimistic and grounded in the future of education.
