Challenge

50 years ago, Virgin started with a record shop. This year, to celebrate, they went back to their roots, while looking to the future. Virgin Fest, launching in 2021 will be a showcase not only of the artists that bring us together, but of the innovations that are pushing us forward. Virgin has a diverse portfolio of brands – this identity had to fit in, while standing out.

Solution

Built around the iconic Virgin script, the logo pulls from the brand’s punk beginnings with sharp edges and bold typography. Energetic and always in motion, the identity captures the excitement of the event while the typographic system embodies the inclusive goals of the festival.
